Guitar Model
In our project brief we were told to model and texture first an object of our choosing then an object of the lectures choosing, I chose to model my guitar

This was modelled in maya, in the modal we had to use photoshop to make the textures this helped provide a good foundation and understanding for UVs, Looking back at this project I see lots of mistakes that I corrected in my later models though i still wanted to highlight this in my portfolio as a reference point for my development over the three years I was at uni. We had 3 months to make this
Phone Model
Similar to the Guitar however we were given lots of reference images I started to experiment with noise alphas in maya to try and add some surface deviation to my model however this came out looking poor, Due to my previous experience with photoshop I felt confutable using it to texture however I didn't have the skill or knowledge to develop roughness or normal maps though now I would've much preferred to use substance paint

For the wooden textures of this model I used megascanned materials from Quixel and aligned them properly in photoshop, for the rest I used Maya's built in texture editor
Tracking 3D models into a live scene
In this project we had to shoot some footage around Manchester create a HDRI and seamlessly import 3D models into the shot and one of the models had to feature a motion graphic, this project used Maya, Photoshop, 3DEqualiser and Nuke
I filmed this inside Media City then modelled and textured an emergency sign as well as an information board displaying what's being built behind. when compositing this I didnt render out a shadow pass at all making it obvious that the models are composited in, If i were to do this now I would render out multiple passes to create the shadows and better match the black and white points of the render to the footage
